You will be responsible for keeping our client’s networks running like a well-oiled machine. Our service department works together and always has each other’s back. You will interact with clients A LOT! So the ability to stay professional and positive no mater what is going on is imperative! Our clients will love you and you’ll love them. There is no problem we can’t solve. Every day will be different. Some days you’ll work on simple help desk tickets, other days you may work on servers at our state of the art co-location facility. You will need to be super proactive, and independent. It will be up to you to make sure every project you work on, big or small, is done with the utmost precision and the clients are beyond thrilled.
Minimum Experience & Education:
- Three to five years of experience in an IT support environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, MCSE, A+ certification desirable.
Skills:
- Configure 365 and Azure
- Installation of numerous PC applications (MS Office Suite, QuickBooks, Acrobat, etc.).
- Staging, configuring and deploying servers, desktops, laptops & peripherals, especially Dell hardware.
- Windows 2008 – 2019 Server administration and management.
- Windows 7 – 10 support.
- Technical troubleshooting of a variety of hardware and software issues.
- LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi management and configuration.
- Maintaining operating systems, security, and applications.
- Setting up and managing SMB networks: various hardware/software platforms, backup/recovery strategies, printers/scanners, and other critical office infrastructure.
- Answer and appropriately handle incoming customer support requests via phone, email, and in person. Escalate internally or contact vendors when appropriate.
- Provide new users with IT orientation.
- Document, track and monitor all problem/resolution activity in the tracking system to ensure a timely resolution.
This position is remote/work from home, with weekly in person team meetings and travel throughout the Tri-County area to client sites. All tools of the job are provided. Qualified individuals must have reliable transportation. We conduct a criminal background check, verify driving record, and random drug testing. This position may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Early morning, evening, and occasional weekend work are required. Some scheduling flexibility may be afforded for students enrolled in relevant coursework.
